EYELASH EXTENSIONS

Suzy Logo (1).png

Suzy offers 2 types of Eyelash Extensions — CLASSIC & VOLUME:

With CLASSIC Lash Extensions, She applies a single lash extension to each of your individual lashes. These lashes are usually between 0.10mm – 0.15mm in diameter and come in a variety of lengths to suit your specific needs.

BENEFITS:

  1. Takes less time to apply

  2. It's more cost-effective

  3. Can look very natural and subtle

With VOLUME Lash Extensions, she applies thinner, finer lashes in clusters of 2-6 to each of your individual lashes. These lashes are usually 0.07mm in diameter and come in a variety of lengths to suit your specific needs. These Volume Lashes give a much softer, more natural result.

BENEFITS

  1. Fluffier look – fine fibres attached on to natural lashes

  2. Lighter weight lashes – 3 fine hairs equal a lighter weight lash than 1 classic extension – less damage

  3. They cling to the natural lashes and last longer before fills are required

  4. They feel soft and feathery

  5. More volume/thickness can be achieved with this technique yet can also look natural

LASH FILLS - MAINTENANCE

It is advisable to return and have lash fills once you have had your eyelash extensions. All of us have a different lash cycle, therefore our eyelashes fall out at different rates, so use your discretion. It's recommended you come for fills every 2-3 weeks.

CONTRAINDICATIONS FOR TREATMENT

(Things that could inhibit a Client from getting Lash Extensions or things to consult a Healthcare Professional on prior to any of the services offered at Bliss Aesthetics)

BACK SPASMS / INJURY - I will do my best to accommodate you with cushions but be advised that you will be lying on your back for an extended period of time.

BLEPHARITIS - Chronic Inflammatory disease associated with the inflammation of the eyelash follicles along the edge of the eyelid. Symptoms include redness, and swelling of the eyelid, flakiness, crustiness, and build-up of dead skin. Please see a Physician and get treatment so that we can get you the lash extension look you dreamed of.

EXTREME LATEX ALLERGIES - You may be allergic to acrylates/cyanoacrylates which is what is in lash extension adhesive.

CLAUSTORPHOBIA - Please be advised that you are required to lay on your back for an extended period of time. I am able to stop at any time during the service AS LONG AS YOU GIVE ME NOTICE! Do not just sit up. I am using precision tools and adhesives that require detailed care.

COLD SORES - I cannot apply lash extensions on anyone that has a cold sore outbreak. These are highly contagious. Please reschedule your appointment.

CONTAGIOUS VIRUSES / INFLUENZA / COLD ETC. - Please reschedule if you are feeling under the weather, I am unable to work and tend to other clients should I catch any respiratory illnesses. I also don't want you to be uncomfortable during your service.

EYE SURGERY - Recently or upcoming. Please consult your Eyecare Professional.

MEDICATIONS - Medications used to treat various health issues may cause hair thinning and/or hair loss and that includes your eyelashes. Some examples would be medications used to treat Asthma, Autoimmune disease, Diabetes, Dry eye syndrome, Excessive tearing, Ocular Rosacea, Stroke, Thyroid Disease, and more...

OVERACTIVE BLADDER -  Once the procedure has started, you will not be able to use the bathroom until completion. Your eyes need to remain closed until the entire service is complete and for safety and hygienic reasons, you must be able to refrain from using the bathroom until the eyelash extension service is finished.

PERMANENT EYE MAKEUP - If you are in the healing stage, I ask you to wait until you no longer have to use any healing balms. If you are scheduled to have permanent makeup done, please consult with the permanent makeup artist about getting lash extensions.

PINK EYE / STYE - Highly contagious. Please seek medical advice.

PREGNANCY - (Congrats!) It's not advised that a pregnant woman be on her back for extended periods of time. Please call or text me personally for an appointment so that I can schedule extra time. I have many cushions to assist in positioning. We can take a little break in between to stand up and stretch. BUT please consult with your OBGYN prior to Service.

EPILEPSY / SEIZURE DISORDERS - I use a variation of lighting. Such as brightness levels and light colour. The last thing we want is for you to have a medical emergency. Please consult with your Physician before Lash Service.

TRICHOTILLOMANIA - (HAIR or EYELASH Pulling) This wouldn't make for an ideal candidate. But if the client receives treatment for the above condition, eyelash extensions can be a possibility in the future.
